About GrownUpRookie

Lots of us never got to do jiu-jitsu, skate, or ride as kids. Searching "am I too old to start?" shouldn't be the end of the story.

GrownUpRookie lists places that welcome adult beginners — fundamentals classes, free trials, loaner gear — and every beginner tag is backed by the school's own website, linked on each listing.

We're starting in San Diego with BJJ, roller skating, motorcycle courses, firearms training, and guitar, and adding more skills and cities soon.
